The provision is good
Children learn and play in a stimulating and engaging learning environment. The childminder is knowledgeable about how children learn and plans a range of interesting and educational activities. She has high expectations for all children and is skilled at making learning fun. The childminder is extremely caring and nurturing. She frequently gives children encouragement and supports them to understand about expected behaviour. Children are very happy and show high levels of motivation. Children's imagination and creativity are supported extremely well. For instance, they delight in exploring a farm sensory tray with grass, pine cones and wood chippings. This supports children's descriptive language as they explore different textures and learn new words. Children's early mathematical knowledge is also promoted effectively. This is evident when children learn about different colours when playing posting games and exploring different coloured rice. Although
