The provision is good

Children are given the opportunity to take responsibility for their own learning, choosing from a good range of accessible resources. For example, children pretend to prepare meals at the cooker and dress up as pirates. They eagerly bang cymbals together to hear the sound they make. Children develop secure attachments with the childminder and enjoy the company of their friends. They have fun and share experiences, such as digging together in the sandpit and making marks on the chalkboard.

p.2

The provision is good

The childminder plans activities that support the children's interests and cover the seven areas of learning. She understands what the children can do and supports them to progress their learning. For example, the childminder demonstrates how to use a stethoscope and supports younger children to listen to a story.
