p.1

This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder does not have a thorough understanding of how to safeguard children. She knows how to recognise most signs that indicate a child's welfare is at risk. However, since moving house, she has not implemented safeguarding procedures relating to her Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB). This means she does not know who to contact to protect children if she is concerned about their welfare. n The childminder understands what young children need to learn and how to provide for this using suitable activities and experiences. She knows how to assess children's ongoing progress and how to plan to move children forward. n The childminder discusses how she involves parents in their children's learning and encourages them to continue learning at home. She values the importance of including both parents and staff, in the other settings children attend, in the assessment process to develop a wide view of children's progress.

p.1

This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder recognises how to support children in their personal development and well-being to prepare them for their futures. This includes by promoting the development of social skills and independence. n The childminder reflects on her previous practice and uses this to plan improvements for when she has children on roll again. She continues to learn about ways of supporting children's development.

p.1

This provision does not meet requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
