She provides a secure and safe environment for children. The childminder implements stringent health and safety procedures to ensure that children are safe in her care. The childminder evaluates and improves her provision and considers the views of parents when developing her plans for improvement. She responds well to the information she receives from parents about their children. For example, she seeks relevant training to develop her knowledge to help her support children to move forward in their development and build on their skills. This helps her to meet children's individual needs well.

For example, the childminder provides organic fresh fruit and extremely healthy snacks and meals. The childminder ensures children have daily opportunities to exercise. For instance, they take regular trips to the local park to run around and use climbing equipment to develop their physical skills. The childminder encourages children to be independent from a young age. For example, young children willingly wash their hands before meals and choose their own snack. Children demonstrate extremely high levels of confidence from a young age and feel exceptionally secure and safe as they play.

p.3

Outcomes for children are good

Children gain key skills ready for the next stages in their learning. Young children rapidly begin to understand simple instructions and start to use single words. Children mix with other children every day to develop their social skills and learn about people and their local community. The children are making good progress and are working within typical expectations for their age. For example, children develop early literacy skills by sharing stories and singing.
