n Children recreate what they know as they play outdoors and pretend to visit the shops in their toy car to 'buy some apples at the shop'. n The childminder builds good partnerships with parents and ensures they work together to provide consistent learning and care for children. n Parents provide the childminder with positive feedback regarding her service. They comment that she has 'gone above and beyond her childminding duties for my child'. n The childminder and her assistant support children's counting and mathematical skills very well. They frequently ask appropriate questions that help children think about quantity, such as, 'if I give you one more how many will you then have?'. n Children behave well when with the childminder.
