This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder does not meet all the safeguarding and welfare requirements. She does not hold a current paediatric first-aid qualification. n Arrangements for safeguarding are not effective. The childminder has not renewed her training or kept up to date with changes in legislation, including the 'Prevent' duty. She has a reasonable understanding of possible signs of abuse and who to make a referral to if she has concerns regarding a child's welfare. n The childminder has a good understanding of the learning and development requirements. She can demonstrate how to plan activities for different aged children across all the areas of learning. She has a good range of play equipment which is easily accessible to children. n The childminder discusses how she uses observations and assessments to monitor the progress that children make. She gathers information from parents and plans activities to support children's interests and their next steps in learning.

The childminder makes good use of her community resources and accesses local parks, children's centres and stay-and-play sessions. n The childminder recognises the importance of being a good role model and supporting children's good behaviour. She understands the need to set clear boundaries and to use praise and encouragement to reinforce this.

p.1

This provision does not meet requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
