At the time of this inspection, there were no children living in the home.

At the time of this inspection, there were no children living in the home. The registered person does not have any immediate plans to admit children to the home.

and young people since the most recent full inspection

Risk assessments did not help to support children to be safe in the home. They do not cover all areas of concern and do not adequately make staff aware of the measures to take to keep children safe. Inspection report children’s home: 1247765 2 The manager is monitoring the activities of the home on a day-to-day basis, but this is not effective as she has not identified poor and/or incomplete records made by staff. As a result, oversight of the home is not effective.

p.1

and young people since the most recent full inspection

The manager does not recognise the seriousness of incidents that require her to notify events to Ofsted, for example, when children carried knives, barricaded themselves in bedrooms while smoking cigarettes and attempted to climb out of first-floor bedroom windows, which required the assistance of the fire brigade.

p.2

and young people since the most recent full inspection

On a more positive note, managers and staff work in partnership with others. They have provided significant challenge to education professionals to try to ensure that children were given access to formal education. The home environment continues to be a pleasant comfortable home for children to live in. The manager has been swift to ensure that all damage caused has been repaired.
