Effectiveness of leadership and management is good
Safeguarding is effective. The childminder is vigilant in fulfilling her role and responsibilities. She has secure knowledge of how she would identify any concerns for a child's welfare and the procedures she would use to report incidents. Recent safeguarding training has helped the childminder to maintain her understanding of how to protect the children in her care to the highest levels. The childminder has worked well towards the recommendations from her last inspection. For instance, she gathers lots of information from parents when children first start and enters into pertinent discussions with children about the importance of making healthy choices in their diet to build on their self-care skills. The childminder uses good risk assessments which she reviews regularly to provide a safe environment for the children, at home or when on outings. She evaluates all areas of her provision and values the comments of parents and children

Effectiveness of leadership and management is good
in helping her to identify areas for change and improvement.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
The childminder constantly observes children and uses this information to precisely plan for their future learning. She has good partnerships with other settings that children attend sharing information to provide with continuity in teaching. The childminder successfully helps children to build on their increasing mathematical skills. For example, children quickly become enthralled as they recognise cylinder shapes and use their recall skills to try to match similar pictures on cards. The childminder helps children to learn about the wider world and to be curious about nature. For instance, children enjoy discussing the different seasons and the weather during the morning group activity. Children use numbers in their play and learning. For instance, they use the clock to point to the numbers and attempt to tell the time.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are outstanding
Children's behaviour is exceptional. They have an excellent understanding of sharing with others and patiently waiting for their turn when playing games together. Children express their opinions and are highly motivated and engaged learners. They show a genuine enthusiasm and eagerness for learning new facts and information. For instance, as they complete intricate puzzles of the human body, recognising the muscles that help the body to move and the vessels that carry blood around the heart. The childminder is skilled at helping children to use these new facts as they take part in action songs and discuss the changes in how their bodies are feeling as they jump up and down. Children receive constant praise for their achievements and successes, and this helps to build an acute awareness in their own abilities.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
Children make very good progress from their starting points, with some exceeding the stage of their development expected for their age. They display noteworthy levels of concentration, motivation and independence in their play and learning. Children enjoy their many adventures outdoors to promote their physical development. They are gaining important skills for the next stages in their learning and their eventual move on to school.
