Children also enjoy plenty of choice and are encouraged to develop their own play ideas as they explore the wide range of resources available to them. The childminder extends children's learning as they play. For example, as children explore the sensory textures of dough and mould it in their hands, the childminder talks to them about the colours and how it smells and feels.
