p.1

This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder does not have a robust knowledge and understanding of safeguarding. She has a very poor understanding of the signs that might indicate a child is at risk and has not kept up to date with current legislation. She does not understand the procedure to follow if she was concerned about a child's welfare or if an allegation was made. This significantly compromises children's safety. n The childminder has failed to notify Ofsted of significant changes, such as changes to her health, which might have an impact on her ability to care for children. n The childminder has a poor understanding of the learning and development requirements. She does not understand how to monitor and assess children's progress, identify gaps in their development or plan effectively to meet children's next steps in learning.

p.1

This provision does not meet requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.

p.1

What the setting needs to do to improve further

The provision is inadequate and Ofsted intends to take enforcement action: We will issue a Welfare Requirements Notice requiring the provider to: Due date improve knowledge of all aspects of safeguarding, including the signs that might indicate a child is at risk, the reporting procedures, and wider safeguarding issues such as the 'Prevent' duty 19/11/2018
