The home closed in February 2018 for refurbishment. The independent Regulation 44 visitor‟s reports indicate that no placements have been made since the home closed. The registered provider confirmed that a manager has been recruited to the home. She intends to submit a manager‟s application to Ofsted so that registration can proceed without delay. The recruitment of new staff is planned, and the retraining of existing staff members promotes a skilled and competent staff team. The registered provider has given an undertaking to comply with the new condition of registration. That is, to inform Ofsted of their intention to admit children and young people three months before a child or young person will commence living at the home. The remaining requirements raised at the last inspection will be reviewed by Ofsted when the home reopens. Inspection report children‟s home: SC460063 2

Information about this inspection

Inspectors considered the quality of work and the differences made to the lives of children and young people. They watched how professional staff work with children and young people and each other and discussed the effectiveness of help and care provided. Wherever possible, they talked to children and young people and their families.
