Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding
The well qualified and experienced staff team use their observations and assessments of children, alongside the children's interests to plan very exciting, interesting and stimulating activities. Children are very keen to share what they know, what they can do and problem solve for themselves. For example, they thrive during circle time, sharing their knowledge of the days of the week, counting the children present, and learning to add on one more, as another child arrives. The youngest children excitedly play musical instruments and confidently join in with the actions to songs. Children enjoy a wealth of opportunities for exploration, especially during outdoor play. They learn how to make the water wheels turn by adding more water to the pipe. Staff place a consistently high emphasis on promoting children's language development and children eagerly choose to take part in a phonics session.
