This provision is good
The childminder is fully committed to improving the quality of her childminding service. For example, key improvements have been made to further increase the quality and range of play resources to support children's learning. The childminder has established secure and trusting partnerships with parents. Parents are kept up to date about their children's learning and development. They highly commend the quality of the childminder's care and are pleased about how much progress their children have made. Play spaces within the childminder's home are thoughtfully organised and well equipped. Children calmly enjoy their activities and move around freely. Children are happy in the childminder's care. Strong attachments help children to feel safe and secure. The childminder knows the children extremely well and is sensitive to their needs and feelings. Children make good progress in their development. The childminder understands how

Inspection activities
The inspector viewed the spaces within the childminder's home that are used for childminding. The inspector observed interactions between the childminder and the children. The inspector talked with the childminder about the learning and development requirements. The inspector sampled written feedback from parents and took account of their views. The inspector talked to the childminder about her understanding of safeguarding and welfare matters and other aspects of her childminding practice.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
Safeguarding is effective. The childminder understands a range of safeguarding matters. She recognises the importance of responding promptly to make a referral if a serious concern arises. The childminder is committed to keeping her knowledge up to date. For example, she attends training, particularly with regard to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare. She has also developed positive partnerships with other nurseries and exchanges ideas to help improve aspects of her practice. The childminder has a clear overview of the progress and development of children in her care. She plans suitable experiences to help any children to catch up if they are delayed in their learning.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
The childminder provides children with a rich programme of activities. Her home is well equipped with a wide range of toys and equipment to help children to play and learn. The childminder plans regular outings to extend children's learning. For example, she takes children to the park to have more space to develop their physical skills. She also takes them to local groups to help them develop their social and communication skills. The childminder engages children's attention well and encourages them to move around the home freely. This helps younger children to strengthen their muscles and physical skills as they help themselves up to stand, squat with steadiness and take steps independently.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
Relationships between the childminder and children are strong. Younger children enjoy playing close by the childminder, who provides a secure base. The childminder responds appropriately to children's efforts to communicate, for example, when they use voice sounds to make technological devices work successfully. This helps to build children's self- esteem. The childminder is sensitive to children's feelings and offers comfort when they feel upset and distressed. She is particularly alert to when children try to communicate a bowel or bladder urge, and they quickly respond and calm down as she talks to them. The childminder carefully considers whether children understand what is happening as changes within the daily routine occur. She explains exactly what is going to happen next in simple terms. This helps children to feel safe and secure.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
Children enjoy listening to nursery rhymes and try to join in singing and dancing. They are confident to communicate and express their feelings. Children demonstrate a good understanding of routines. For example, they try to return the changing mat back to where it is stored and enjoy helping as they hold the pack of wipes for the childminder. Children demonstrate independence as they enjoy eating snacks by themselves and hold their own cup. They develop important skills for their future learning.
