Main inspection findings

Part 3. Welfare, health and safety of pupils Paragraph 15  The admission register does not meet requirements. A single column is allocated for recording the names of pupils’ previous schools and/or their future destinations. Furthermore, only the names of these places are given. No addresses are given, as required by regulation. Some destinations recorded are vague – for example, simply that pupils had gone ‘out of country’.  Only one parent is named on the admissions register for each pupil, rather than the names of every person known to be the parent of the pupil, as required by regulation.  All but one of the attendance registers are maintained in accordance with regulations. The exception is the register taken for a class of three- and four-year-olds, which is taken daily on loose-leaf sheets.  The number of pupils currently on roll, as recorded on the admissions register, correlates with the number of pupils shown on the attendance registers. The number

The school is situated on a single site in the Stamford Hill area of North London.  Nearly all pupils speak English as an additional language. There are no pupils who have special educational needs (SEN) and/or disabilities.  The school is open for six days a week. Leaders told inspectors that parents are able to request that the school teach their child the rest of the curriculum, but currently no parents have made this request.  The children in the early years attend full time. The main language used in lessons is
