The childminder acknowledges children's efforts and achievements with plenty of encouragement and praise. She is a positive role model and speaks respectfully to children. She gives children gentle reminders of behaviour expectations. Children learn to follow simple rules and behave well. Children's good health is supported well. They are physically active and the childminder offers them healthy and nutritious meals, which include a variety of fruit. Outings provide a wide range of first-hand experiences. Children meet with other adults and other children, and learn about the natural world. The childminder instils routines to keep children safe. She talks to children about road safety while on outings.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
Children's personal, social and emotional development is given a high regard. They are emotionally very secure with the childminder. Children make good progress from their starting points. They gain positive attitudes for the next stage in learning and their eventual move to nursery or school.
