 Parents are very complimentary of the care the childminder provides for their children. They are fully informed of the progress their children make. Parents praise the committed and dedicated childminder on the wealth of opportunities she provides for their children to help them grow and develop.  Teaching, in some instances, is outstanding. The childminder superbly observes children to identify their interests and what they need to learn next. She provides highly rich activities for children to help challenge their thinking skills. Children are continually engaged in their play and highly motivated to learn.  Children's physical skills are well promoted. They laugh excitedly while bouncing on a trampoline and ride scooters around the well-resourced outdoor area. Children demonstrate very good mathematical skills. They recognise numbers and learn to count. Children weigh, measure and use the correct language to refer to volume and

Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good

Safeguarding is effective. The childminder provides a very safe and secure setting for children and their families. She regularly completes risk assessments. This helps to identify and address any potential hazards. The childminder is aware of local safeguarding procedures. She has implemented policies that promote the safe use of mobile phones and cameras. Furthermore, she is aware of the procedure to follow in the event of an allegation made against her or a member of her household. The childminder gathers the views of others to help her identify weaknesses in practice. For example, she sends out regular questionnaires. The childminder has established effective working relationships with other early years providers in the area. She works closely with the local school where children attend and shares information regarding children's learning needs. This helps to provide a continued approach to children's learning.

p.3

Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good

The enthusiastic childminder engages very well in children's learning. She asks excellent questions that help children to think what might happen next. Children learn how to use bubble wands and laugh as the bubbles pop. This helps to promote children's hand-to-eye coordination. The childminder takes children on regular outings. For instance, they visit the local farm where they have opportunities to learn how to care for animals. This helps to promote children's understanding of the wider world.

p.3

Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good

Children manage their self-care needs well. For example, children learn to dress themselves before taking part in water activities. Children make choices in their play. The childminder provides children with praise and encouragement. This helps to promote children's self-esteem. The childminder provides excellent opportunities for children to participate in cooperative activities. For example, children work together to operate toy construction vehicles and transport sand to different areas. This helps to promote children's social skills. Children behave well. They complete small tasks appropriate to their age and stage of development. For instance, children help to put on their sun cream and find their sunhats. The childminder talks to children about ways to keep themselves safe in the sun. This helps to promote children's safety.

p.3

Outcomes for children are good

Children make good progress. They wholeheartedly participate in pretend play scenarios. Children actively involve others into their play. They use pretend foods and create their own shopping experiences. This helps to promote children's imaginative skills. Children are very well prepared for their next stage in learning and their eventual move on to school.
