Robust monitoring of children's development helps ensure staff are able to rapidly identify areas where children may need additional support. Staff meticulously implement highly focused individual plans with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, to precisely target areas of support and rapidly narrow any gaps in children's learning. The staff team demonstrates a very strong commitment to continuous improvement. Staff make excellent use of professional development and implement what they learn. For example, following training in supporting children's communication and language, they provide carefully planned language groups, with particular focus on supporting children who speak English as an additional language. During a water play activity, children explore ways to move the water around tubes, and delight in discovering they can move the water up and down by applying pressure. Staff provide a wealth of exciting opportunities to help children understand the world in which they live. For example, children participate in recycling projects and learn to develop respect and understanding of different people and beliefs. They use knives safely, to cook and prepare snack.
