The provision does not meet requirements
Arrangements for safeguarding are not effective. The childminder has updated some of her safeguarding knowledge and understanding. However, she is still not clear on when, and who to report, child protection concerns to, including allegations made against herself. This means that children may be at risk of harm. The childminder has some policies and procedures in place. However, there is not a process in place to support self-evaluation to enable the childminder to identify areas for development to meet the statutory requirements. The childminder does not provide sufficient resources that are appropriate and suitable for the age of the children who attend. This means that children are very limited in the opportunities they have to play and learn effectively. The childminder has recently introduced a system to observe, assess and plan activities that support children's learning. However, this is at the very early stages and has yet to

be used to test its effectiveness. The childminder has implemented a process to complete, and share with parents, the statutory progress check, carried out between the age of two and three years. This means that children can receive the extra help they need early enough to prepare children for the next stage in their development.
p.1
The provision does not meet requirements
There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.

What the setting needs to do to improve further
