This provision is good
The childminder has improved her provision since the last inspection. For example, she now ensures that all required medication records are promptly signed by the parents. This helps to ensure children's welfare is promoted well. The childminder makes sure that she gathers information from parents about what their child already knows and can do before they start at the provision. This helps her to identify concise starting points for all children from the outset. The childminder provides a warm and caring environment for all children in her care. All children settle in quickly and develop strong emotional attachments. They behave well and build strong friendships with others. Outcomes for children are good. The childminder effectively includes all children and their parents in her self-evaluation processes. She identifies what needs to be worked on next, including training. This helps her to ensure that all children benefit from attending the provision.
p.1
It is not yet outstanding because:
Information sharing with all other settings that also support children's learning does not always promote high levels of continuity and consistency for all children. The childminder does not always make the most of all opportunities to help parents support their child's learning at home.
p.1
What the setting needs to do to improve further
To further improve the quality of the early years provision the provider should:

Inspection activities
The inspector observed the quality of teaching during activities indoors and assessed the impact this has on children's learning. The inspector completed a joint evaluation of an activity with the childminder. The inspector held a number of discussions with the childminder. She looked at relevant documentation and evidence of the suitability of persons living in the household. The inspector spoke to children during the inspection and took account of the views of parents through written feedback they provided.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
The arrangements for safeguarding are effective. The childminder checks all areas of the house and garden before children arrive. This, and supervising children closely throughout the day, helps to keep them safe and well. The childminder keeps her child protection knowledge updated through regular training. She knows who to contact should she have any concerns about a child in her care. The childminder checks the educational programmes provided for children. This helps to ensure that all children are progressing well. The childminder provides parents with written and verbal feedback about their child's day.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
The childminder interacts and engages well in children's activities. For example, as children explore trucks, she encourages them to investigate how the traction of the wheels helps to move the truck forwards and backwards. Children become excited and are enthralled as they manage to do this for themselves. The childminder uses such activities to help extend children's mathematical language and understanding. For instance, she asks them to identify which truck is bigger than or smaller than the others. Children are encouraged to keep trying until they manage to make the trucks travel across the floor. This helps them to develop a positive attitude to learning. The childminder takes children on a range of outings in the local areas. For example, children's interest in animals is fostered well as they visit the local farm. Here, they learn about life on the farm and how to care for different animals. Children's interest in nature is well promoted as they enjoy

regular walks through the local woodland. Here, children jump in and out of puddles, look and listen out for nature and talk about the changing seasons.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
Children take manageable risks as they use a range of equipment in the garden and at the local parks. This, and chasing after their friends, helps them to develop their physical skills well. The childminder provides drinks of water and a variety of fruits for children's snack times. She talks with children about what is and what is not healthy to eat. This helps to increase children's awareness about the importance of developing a healthy lifestyle.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
Children develop independence as they make choices about where and what they want to play with. They become increasingly confident as they practise putting on their own coats and shoes to go outdoors. This helps to promote children's readiness for their move on to school. Children enjoy turning the pages as they choose and listen to their favourite story books. They use their imagination well as they explore the play kitchen and use pans and utensils during their role play.
