This provision is outstanding
The childminder works extremely closely with other professionals to support children's individual needs and abilities. For example, she has regular meetings with other settings that children attend to discuss their emotional well-being and progress in their development. This helps to promote continuity of children's care and learning. The childminder has created a highly inspiring environment for children's learning. She encourages them to build their creativity, imagination and motivation to an exceptional level. For example, children show high levels of concentration as they make bugs out of dough. The childminder praises children's individual creations, which promotes their self-esteem. The childminder is highly experienced and shows her deep commitment towards raising the quality of the provision. She strives to offer children excellent opportunities and experiences. Partnerships with parents are exceptional. The childminder builds and maintains close

relationships with parents. She keeps parents fully informed about their children's learning and development. They work closely together to consistently meet children's needs extremely well. Parents are highly complimentary about the care their children receive. Children benefit from the childminder's clear speech and detailed explanations. This helps develop their communication and language development at a rapid pace. Children demonstrate a wide vocabulary and a deep understanding from an early age.

Inspection activities
The inspector observed the children and the childminder's interactions with them, indoors and outdoors. The inspector completed a joint evaluation of an activity with the childminder. The inspector held a number of discussions with the childminder. She looked at a sample of relevant documentation and evidence of the suitability of persons living in the household. The inspector took account of the views of parents through written feedback provided. The inspector was given a tour of the areas of the home used for childminding purposes.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is outstanding
The arrangements for safeguarding are effective. The childminder has an excellent understanding of safeguarding legislation and child protection issues. She has a very secure understanding of what to do if she is concerned about a child's welfare. The childminder precisely reflects on and evaluates her practice. She makes excellent use of professional development opportunities. For example, training has supported her to think about the different characteristics of learning and how these are unique to each child. This has made her reflect upon the way she tracks the progress children are making.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding
The childminder has an excellent understanding of how children learn. She inspires children to learn and skilfully supports them as they lead their own play. The childminder provides children with exciting resources to extend their creative skills. For instance, children used their imagination to create pictures using ice. They thoroughly enjoyed exploring the way the ice spreads the ink on the paper. The childminder successfully extended their learning, such as by asking them to share their ideas about how the ice felt and to identify colours and shapes. The childminder supports children's early literacy skills extremely well. For example, children learn from an early age to recognise letter sounds and show their understanding as they correctly identify letters in unfamiliar words.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are outstanding
The childminder's caring, attentive and nurturing approach supports children to settle into her care. Children form extremely strong bonds with the childminder and the other children. Children's behaviour is exemplary. They play together with cooperation and compassion. The childminder is an excellent role model and children learn to share and take turns respectfully. For example, they take it in turns to bounce on the trampoline as they enjoy fresh air in the garden. The childminder gathers robust and detailed information about children's preferences and development before they start. This allows her to precisely plan for children's next steps straight away. The childminder offers extremely healthy snack options for children. She recognises there are further ways she can support children to learn even more about healthy eating.
p.3
Outcomes for children are outstanding
Children thrive in the stimulating and extremely well-prepared environment. Children form positive attachments with the childminder and excel in their communication skills. Children follow instructions, listen carefully and are eager to try out new experiences. Children are exceptionally well prepared for the next stage in their learning and their eventual move on to school.
