The provision does not meet requirements

 The childminder does not have a valid first-aid certificate, as required, which is also a breach to the Childcare Register requirements.  The childminder does not understand safeguarding practices to protect children from harm. She is not aware of whom to contact to report any concerns. She does not know what action to take in the event of an allegation being made against her or a member of her family, or safe procedures to use mobile phones and cameras.  The childminder does not understand about the need to complete the progress check for children between the age of two and three years, to provide parents with a written statement about their children's development.  The childminder is aware of the learning and development requirements to help children make progress. She explains how she will use observation and assessments to plan for children's learning and their next steps in learning.  The childminder recognises the importance of working in partnership with parents. She

knows to share information about children's progress and provide parents with ideas that they can use at home to further support their children's learning.

p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
