Risk assessments of the premises are conducted regularly to ensure that children stay safe.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
Staff plan activities that reflect children's own experiences and traditions and develop their imaginations and creativity. For example, they enjoy making Christmas decorations using paper and glue. Children practise their creative skills using a variety of tools. They concentrate hard and show pride in their work. Staff provide a quiet area for children who choose to do homework. Children of different ages help each other and make imaginative suggestions to enhance their activities and they are confident to speak out in a group. Children's physical development is promoted when they build with large construction bricks and play table and floor games, such as pool and backgammon. Staff take them out to the local park where they practise their climbing and balancing skills.

Children who attend different schools and year groups make good friends with each other. They are polite and well mannered. Children learn to be patient and to share and take turns. Staff are enthusiastic and enjoy playing with the children. They are kind and thoughtful and get to know children well. Young children benefit from individual attention from a key member of staff and this helps them to feel emotionally secure. Children develop good social skills and they learn to listen and follow instructions. Staff give children opportunities to talk about events at home and school and they show their opinions are valued. Staff offer children choices in their play and take account of their likes and dislikes. They provide fruit for children's snacks to help them stay healthy and teach them about hygiene and keeping themselves safe.
