Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
The arrangements for safeguarding are effective. Staff have a good understanding of the procedures to follow should they have any concerns about the children in their care. Self- evaluation has helped the management team to implement clear action plans for the ongoing development of the pre-school, such as the refurbishment of the outdoor play areas. Peer observations, supervision and regular staff meetings ensure that staff are kept informed of current legislation and the latest guidance. This also helps to provide staff with continued support and to help improve their already good teaching practice. Effective recruitment and induction procedures ensures the suitability of all staff. Staffs' professional development and training is fully supported through online systems which staff can access easily. Partnerships with parents and other professionals are good.

They demonstrate their impressive imaginative skills while engaging in role play. Skilled staff members enhance and help to extend children's learning through skilful questioning. Staff pretend to be the passengers and buy tickets at the 'Mucky Pups train station'. They follow the children's lead by going on a trip to 'fairy land' and engage them well in detailed conversations. Staff support children's literacy skills very effectively. They make sure writing materials and associated books are placed in all areas of the pre-school so children can help themselves. Staff know the children well. They observe and assess children's

Children independently select high-quality resources, make choices about what they do and where they want to play. They enjoy outdoor activities and have good opportunities to develop their physical skills and mathematical understanding. Children enjoy riding bikes and scooters, and engage in circle time counting activities.
