p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

 Although the childminder knows how to identify and refer general child protection concerns appropriately, she is not aware of the 'Prevent' duty guidance, to be able to recognise and take action if a child is exposed to extreme views or behaviour.  The childminder does not record details of occasions when she administers medication to children, and she does she gain written parental consent to allow her to give medicines, as required. This is also a breach of the Childcare Register.  The childminder knows how to track children's progress and plan suitably challenging activities, to build on what they know and can do, and help prepare them for school.  The childminder understands how to form positive relationships with children, so they feel welcome and settled in her home.  The childminder recognises how to promote children's good health and prevent the spread of cross-infection.  The childminder knows how to reflect on her practice to identify areas for development.

p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

For example, she has plans to involve parents further in their children's learning.

p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.

p.1
