p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

 The childminder has not evaluated her provision adequately. While not childminding, she has allowed her first-aid qualification to expire and has not obtained appropriate insurance. She does, however, have a sound understanding about what may be a safeguarding concern and what to do to protect children.  The childminder has a good understanding of the learning and development requirements. She uses her experience as a qualified teacher to plan how she intends to observe and monitor children's development. She has plans to exchange information with parents about their child's progress and to provide a summary as required.  The childminder has plans to provide a wide range of activities which she plans to base on children's individual interests. She has adequate equipment and toys, which she intends to use to provide activities to support the next steps in all children's learning.  The childminder understands how to promote children's well-being and good behaviour.

p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

She knows how to help children learn about keeping healthy and safe and how she would reduce hazards, for example, by supervising children when the dog is present.

p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
