Summary of complaint
On 16 November 2017 we received a complaint about the collection procedure of children from school. This raised concerns that the provider was not meeting the Registration requirements for the Compulsory and Voluntary parts Childcare Register.
p.1
Summary of complaint
We needed to look at this concern to see whether the provider was meeting the registration requirements relating to; childminders. We do not investigate to prove or disprove a complaint but we look into the information we receive to see if the provider is meeting all legal requirements.
p.1
Summary of complaint
We conducted an unannounced visit on 20 November 2017 and 28 November 2017 and found that an older child had collected a younger child from an afterschool club while the provider was nearby. This means the provider did not meet the Registration requirements for the Childcare Register, in particular Childminders must have particular responsibility for ensuring the welfare and safety of the children and the registered person must ensure that any person aged under 17 caring for children is supervised at all times by a person aged 18 or over.
p.1
Summary of complaint
As a result of the visit, we issued a notice of action for the provider to; Ensure that children receiving childcare are kept safe from harm, with reference to ensuring a suitable person carries out the school pick up. Ensure that any person aged under 17 caring for children is supervised at all times by a person aged 18 or over.
p.1
Summary of complaint
We will monitor the provider. The provider remains registered with Ofsted.
