Summary of complaint
On 10 November 2017, we received a complaint that raised concerns about safeguarding, behaviour management and meeting parents' wishes regarding the feeding and sleep arrangements in place for children. We needed to look into the information we received to see if the provider was meeting the early years foundation stage safeguarding and welfare requirements relating to: safeguarding, key persons and managing behaviour.
p.1
Summary of complaint
We liaised with outside agencies in respect of the information we received. On 27 November 2017, we completed an unannounced visit to the setting. We spoke to the manager, observed interactions between children and staff and looked at documentation. We found that on the day of the visit, staff were well deployed to support children's care, development and learning. There were suitable arrangements for monitoring staffs' daily practice and behaviour. There were appropriate procedures to ensure parental requests were met to help promote children's well-being. We found that there had been a delay in notifying statutory agencies when there was a concern about children's welfare.

Summary of complaint
Following our visit, we issued the provider with a notice to improve that asked them to: improve safeguarding arrangements, to ensure that if there are concerns about children's safety or welfare, agencies with statutory responsibility are notified without delay.
