p.1

The provision meets requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.

p.1

Inspection activities

 The inspector discussed with the childminder how she will deliver the learning and development requirements. She also discussed how observations, assessments and planning will be used to identify and incorporate the next steps in children's future learning.  The inspector looked at a selection of documents the childminder will use to monitor the safety of the children. These included robust safeguarding procedures, risk assessments and a range of other policies and procedures.  The inspector checked evidence of the suitability of the childminder and household members by looking at the Disclosure and Barring Service checks.  The inspector and the childminder looked at the areas of the house and garden where childcare will be provided, along with the toys, resources and equipment that she intends to use.
