This provision is good
The childminder has made significant improvements since her last inspection. All documentation is accessible and well maintained, and registers reflect the attendance of the children each day. Relevant documentation is shared with parents. The childminder works well with parents. She provides detailed information about their children's day and involves them in their children's learning, encouraging them to share their children's interests and achievements at home. The childminder actively seeks the views and opinions of parents and children, and uses these to inform self-evaluation. This enables her to identify professional development opportunities and continually drive improvement. Children settle well. Good relationships between children and the childminder are apparent. They enjoy involving her in their activities and initiate story time with her. Children enjoy being physically active and spend time outdoors in the fresh air. Children

form friendships with familiar adults and children they regularly meet at different groups they attend.
p.1
It is not yet outstanding because:
The childminder does not consistently maintain some resources, particularly to ensure that books are in good repair or complete, to enhance children's full use and enjoyment of them. At times, the childminder misses opportunities for children to share their experiences and thoughts.

Inspection activities
The inspector observed the quality of teaching during activities in the childminder's home and assessed the impact this has on children's learning. The inspector spoke to the childminder and children at appropriate times during the inspection. The inspector completed a joint observation with the childminder. The inspector look at relevant documentation, including the childminder's training certificates and the suitability checks of adults within the home. The inspector took account of the written views of the parents.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
The arrangements for safeguarding are effective. The childminder is knowledgeable of the potential signs of harm and neglect, and the process for raising her concerns. Children play in a safe and secure environment. The childminder assesses her home and garden each day before the children arrive to ensure it is suitable. Children develop an understanding of their own safety within the home and when out. For instance, they practise the fire evacuation procedure to ensure they understand what action to take in an emergency situation and follow clear routines when crossing the road. The childminder firmly establishes good systems for communicating with parents. She fully informs and involves parents in their children's placement and the care they receive.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
The childminder regularly observes and accurately assesses children's progress. She uses this, alongside information gathered from parents at the start, to plan activities to support their learning. Children show confidence to explore their surroundings and seek the childminder's attention when they are eager to show her what they are doing. Children use various materials and resources to be creative using their small-muscle skills. For example, they use scissors to cut paper and paints to experiment with colour as they create homes out of cardboard boxes for woodland play animals. Children move their bodies to music. They experiment with different sounds they can make using a variety of musical instruments, such as drums and tambourines. Children also experiment with electronic resources to make sounds.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
Children learn the importance of taking turns and sharing through play. They develop confidence and good self-esteem. They receive lots of praise and encouragement and the childminder recognises their efforts and achievements. Children learn how to use different equipment. For example, they use scissors when cutting different materials, and small tools for digging and raking soil when visiting the childminder's family allotment. The childminder meets children's dietary needs well. They enjoy a good variety of foods each day that meet their individual dietary needs.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
Children make good progress in readiness for their future learning and the move on to school. They develop independence, make choices and lead their own play. Children learn to count in everyday routines. For example, they count the cars they see when outside and also different sizes of beads during threading activities. Children build and construct models. For example, they manoeuvre different pieces of train track until they fit together.
