house, garden and outings to ensure children can play in safety. The childminder recognises the importance of evaluating her provision. She talks about how she intends to keep her knowledge and skills up to date.
p.1
The provision meets requirements
There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
p.1
Inspection activities
The inspector had discussions with the childminder about her knowledge and how she will deliver the learning and development requirements. The inspector looked at the areas of the house and garden where childcare will be provided, along with the toys and equipment that the childminder intends to use. The inspector looked at evidence of the childminder's qualification, training and suitability checks for the childminder and household members. She also discussed procedures to manage children's safety, safeguarding and child protection policies. The inspector discussed with the childminder about how she intends to work with parents to support children's needs and their learning, and how she will engage them in her reflective practice.
