The childminder uses comprehensive information gathered from parents about their child, to plan effectively for their individual care and learning needs, and help children make good progress. The childminder supports children's learning well. She plans a wide variety of activities that take account of children's interests and abilities. Storage of resources at a low level enables children to access them independently. Children show good levels of concentration. For example, they spend time placing different size beakers on top of each other and listen intently to their favourite stories. Partnerships with parents are good. Systems for communication are effective. Daily discussion ensures both parties are fully aware of children's progress and development.
