Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
The provider and manager have worked conscientiously to make improvements in the setting. They have effectively addressed all actions and recommendations from the last inspection. Staff have regular discussions and guidance to enhance their skills. For example, they regularly reorganise the environment to improve children's access to equipment. Children have started to make more use of writing equipment. This helps to develop children's early writing skills. Staff and parents work well together to close gaps in children's learning by following the advice from professionals. The arrangements for safeguarding are effective. Staff know what to do if they have any concerns about the welfare of a child in their care.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
Staff provide interesting learning experiences. They know what children need and plan well to increase children's skills in all areas of learning. For example, staff introduce simple calculations while they help children to understand mathematical ideas. They make good use of resources to integrate the recognition of numerals and to help children construct shapes. Staff use questioning very effectively, to stimulate children's thinking. They competently help children to sustain their discussions as they engage in imaginary play. Staff provide an environment that is rich in language. They consistently converse with children and listen attentively while they speak. Staff know how to offer a balance of child- led play experiences and adult-directed teaching. They allow time for children to complete tasks and give consistent praise. Staff effectively raise children's self-esteem.
p.3

Staff greet children warmly when they arrive, helping them to feel emotionally secure. Children demonstrate by their behaviour that they feel totally at ease in the setting. They freely select toys and resources that are within their reach. Children follow the routine and wash hands after messy play. They demonstrate a good understanding of the rules. They consistently ask staff for support when they wish to use the toilets. This ensures children receive good levels of supervision that ensures their safety. Children learn to treat their friends with respect and to have regard for their needs. They play well together and take turns at sharing resources. Snack time is a social occasion. For instance, staff sit at tables with children and encourage them to eat a wide selection of fruit.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
Overall, children in all age groups receive good support in their learning. Children are keen to learn. They explore their surroundings and satisfy their natural curiosity as they try out a wide range of resources. They recognise colours and use these creatively while they make prints. Children enjoy favourite stories and contribute while adults read. Children are developing appropriate skills to attend to their personal needs. They develop essential skills for the next stage in their learning at the setting and, eventually, school.
