review the impact that the planned changes to involve children even more in planting and growing their own food, have on their understanding of where food comes from.

Inspection activities
The inspector spoke with the childminder and the children at appropriate times during the inspection. The inspector observed the quality of teaching during activities in the childminder's home and assessed the impact this has on children's learning. The inspector looked at relevant documentation, such as the childminder's training certificates and evidence of the suitability of all adults living in her home. The inspector took account of the written views of parents.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is outstanding
The arrangements for safeguarding are effective. The childminder is proactive in ensuring she is constantly aware of changes in legislation, such as the introduction of 'Prevent' duty guidance. The childminder accurately evaluates the whole service she provides, in order to continually improve outcomes for children and their families. She is currently seeking to improve children's experiences in planting and growing to help them to learn even more about where our food comes from. All parents share extremely positive views about the provision. They describe the quality of the service as brilliant. They especially appreciate, that the childminder has significantly helped their children to grow in self-confidence.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding
The childminder is highly successful in teaching and extending the children's learning. Her innovative delivery of a wonderful variety of activities is extremely engaging. Children relish the hands on experiences, such as making play dough. The childminder creates awe and wonder as she explains the process of change as the children mix the ingredients together. Children squeal with delight when their mixture changes consistency and colour. Outdoors, children are encouraged to be creative and use the resources in a variety of ways. For example, they use a large foam tube as a bat to hit a large ball that the childminder throws to them. Frequent, detailed observations and assessments of the children's learning are undertaken. Activities to support children to achieve their next steps in learning are exceptionally well planned.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are outstanding
Children's emotional security is given high priority. The childminder has a calm and very sensitive approach towards the children at all times. For example, when they spill water they are pouring into their bowls to make dough or when they don't quite make it to the bathroom in time to use the toilet. Children's behaviour is excellent. The childminder is vigilant and very alert to changes in behaviour. She intervenes at the earliest opportunity when children squabble over the most popular resources. The childminder is extremely good at helping the children to share and show consideration to one another. The childminder is an excellent role model. She is extremely polite towards the children and places a high emphasis on using manners. The childminder thanks the children for helping her to clean the table and they respond with 'you are welcome'.
p.3
Outcomes for children are outstanding
Children develop outstanding skills for their future learning and in readiness for the move on to school. They are highly motivated, confident and articulate individuals who make consistently strong progress. Children have excellent opportunities to develop their language and communication skills. They frequently learn a new language and have many opportunities to engage in conversation with the childminder and one another.
