and young people since the most recent full inspection

In January 2017, the home was registered. At that time, the provider made the decision to put the referral process on hold. This was due to a change to the funding arrangements and a reduction in staffing at the home. At the time of the inspection, there were no children staying at the home. The registered manager and the responsible individual confirmed that the home had gone through a period of uncertainty. In addition, the home’s current ethos and vision are under review. Any changes to the statement of purpose or conditions of registration will be sent to HMCI. Inspection report children’s home: 1244946 2

Information about this inspection

Inspectors have looked closely at the experiences and progress of children and young people. Inspectors considered the quality of work and the difference made to the lives of children and young people. They watched how professional staff work with children and young people and each other and discussed the effectiveness of help and care provided. Wherever possible, they talked to children and young people and their families. In addition, the inspectors have tried to understand what the children’s home knows about how well it is performing, how well it is doing and what difference it is making for the children and young people whom it is trying to help, protect and look after.
