During this time she obtains all the information she needs about the children. This helps her to effectively meet their needs from the onset. Children learn how to use equipment, such as a trampoline, safely. They learn to be independent. Children pour their own drinks and listen carefully as the childminder shows them how to use a knife safely to spread butter.

p.3
