p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

 The childminder is not fully aware of the possible signs that may indicate a child is at risk of significant harm, including extreme views and behaviours. In addition, she does not maintain valid public liability insurance as required. These are also breaches of the Childcare Register requirements.  The childminder does not have a good understanding of the requirements to provide suitable challenging activities to help children make progress from their starting points. Also, her knowledge of the progress check for children at age two years is inaccurate.  The childminder is aware of the need to risk assess her play areas and supervise children well to help keep them safe. She understands how to manage children's behaviour positively, such as through effective explanations and distractions.  The childminder understands the importance of working in close partnerships with parents to help provide continuity of care and learning.

p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

 The childminder recognises how to support children's physical well-being and encourage healthy lifestyles, such as through daily exercise and offering healthy meals.

p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
