 The childminder has not attended child protection training. She does not have a secure knowledge of all the signs and symptoms that a child may be at risk of harm. She is unable to safeguard children’s welfare adequately. This is also a breach of Childcare Register requirements.  The childminder does not understand the procedures to follow for a safeguarding concern or if an allegation is made about household members. She does not know how to contact and liaise with the statutory agencies promptly. She has a written safeguarding policy but is unaware of its content and the important procedures, which is also a breach of the requirements of the Childcare Register.  The childminder does not use self-evaluation effectively or keep her knowledge up to date to ensure she meets all requirements.  The childminder understands the importance of building partnerships with parents to provide consistency in children’s learning and care experiences. She knows how to

The provision does not meet requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
