date with any changes to guidance. This means the appropriate action can be taken to protect children in the event of a child protection concern. The childminder works closely with parents to ensure that children are settled well in his care. He obtains all the relevant information from parents to provide care based on the individual needs of all children. He provides a safe and secure environment in which children can play and explore. The provision meets requirements
There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
p.1
Inspection activities
The inspector discussed with the childminder the improvements that he has made since the last inspection. The inspector discussed the arrangements in place for the care of children overnight, should the childminder decide to offer this service. The inspector looked at a range of documents, policies and procedures that are in place for childminding. The inspector undertook a tour of the parts of the premises that will be used by childminded children. The inspector checked evidence of the suitability of the childminder and adults living or working on the premises.
