This provision is good
Since the previous inspection, the childminder now plans and organises adult-led activities well. For example, she involves all children in group activities by adapting her teaching to take account of their stages of development and abilities. The childminder provides a wide variety of interesting and stimulating activities that engage and interest all-aged children. She responds well to children and extends their curiosity and learning. The childminder helps all children make good progress in relation to their starting points in learning. Children are emotionally secure. They form good, trusting relationships with the childminder, who is very kind and caring. The childminder works closely with the co-childminder to evaluate practice and monitor children's achievements. They successfully identify areas to help improve practice further, such as involving parents more in sharing what they know about children's

It is not yet outstanding because:
The childminder does not consistently provide opportunities for children to explore and find out more about the natural world. The childminder does not make the most of opportunities to work closely with other early years settings involved with children and help provide activities that complement what they are learning elsewhere.

What the setting needs to do to improve further
To further improve the quality of the early years provision the provider should:

Inspection activities
The inspector observed children's activities indoors. The inspector sampled children's learning records and other relevant documentation. The inspector spoke with the childminder during the inspection about children's learning and progress, and to evaluate an activity. The inspector looked at the childminder's self-evaluation form. The inspector took account of the views of parents from written feedback.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
Safeguarding is effective. The childminder has a good understanding of her role and responsibility in protecting children, for example, from extreme views and harm. She works closely with her co-childminder to provide a safe environment where children can move around independently and without coming to harm. Children benefit from the childminder's increasing skills and knowledge. For example, the childminder does research and gains new innovative ideas that she uses to help extend children's creative skills further. She successfully identifies and addresses any emerging gaps in children's development. For example, she has introduced additional books that help encourage the more reluctant children to join in with listening to stories. The childminder works successfully with parents to meet children's needs.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
The childminder competently observes and assesses children's progress. She uses the information well to identify learning priorities for children and plan challenging activities. For example, children thoroughly enjoyed a dried spaghetti activity. The childminder made good use of the activity to extend all children's learning. She successfully built on their counting skills and awareness of sizes. Older children compared the heights of their spaghetti and counted how many cereal hoops they had threaded on it. The childminder effectively reinforced language, such as 'big' and 'tall'. Younger children showed good coordination as they carefully placed hoops on the spaghetti. The childminder helps children become confident speakers. For example, she asks questions and encourages them to share their experiences.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
The childminder teaches children to show respect and value differences in others. Children are well behaved and have good manners. They play well together and join in happily with group activities organised by the childminder. The childminder actively encourages children to take turns and listen to their friends. She implements thorough hygiene procedures that help keep children in good health. The childminder helps children develop a good understanding of how to stay safe. For example, she teaches them what to do in the event of a fire.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
Children are prepared well for a successful move on to school. They are independent and confident. Children persevere and concentrate well at their favourite activities. They are willing to have a go and try new things. Children thoroughly enjoy exploring different textures. They communicate effectively with their friends and with adults. Children have good social skills. They manage their personal care needs well.
