This provision is good
The quality of the childminder's teaching and her interaction with children is superb. The childminder has an expert knowledge of children's learning needs and provides highly exciting activities for children, alongside her tailored support. Children make excellent progress in their development. Children build strong relationships with one another. They gain huge enjoyment from their play. Children are well behaved and are developing strong levels of self-control. The childminder is calm and manages children's different behaviours, such as turn-taking and sharing, with great skill. The childminder's excellent communication skills help parents to have a clear picture of the care and early education offered. Parents are encouraged to carry on their children's learning at home extremely well.
p.1

Inspection activities
The inspector observed children's play activities and the childminder's interactions with children, and talked to children. The inspector undertook a joint observation with the childminder. The inspector held discussions with the childminder about the children and looked at their learning records. The inspector sampled some safeguarding and leadership documentation. The inspector sampled written feedback from parents.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
Safeguarding is effective. The childminder has a strong understanding of the procedures to follow if worried about a child or family and keeps abreast of new legislation. She reflects upon, evaluates and monitors effectively the delivery of the play programme, planning and assessment. The childminder makes full use of training opportunities and research to enhance play and make variations for younger children or those who have specific play styles. For example, she was inspired by a course about boys and the play environment to enhance her teaching. The childminder has established links to work in partnership with other settings the children attend. She works very collaboratively with parents and health care professionals, especially when additional support is required, to close any gaps in children's learning swiftly and meet children's care needs.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding
The enthusiastic childminder delivers first-class teaching tailored to meet the interests, needs and strengths of each child. She has an excellent knowledge and understanding of how children learn in their early years. The childminder uses inspirational teaching opportunities to raise children's awareness of the world and mathematics. For example, children very eagerly wore hard hats and used a wide variety of different-sized construction vehicles, cereal and numbered bricks in their builder role play. The childminder extended their learning expertly. She used rich vocabulary, introduced conversation and questions about house building, encouraged children to put the bricks in numerical order and challenged them to solve problems.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
Children thrive in the loving care of the childminder. They are happy and grow securely in their emotional and physical well-being. The childminder follows young children's home routines, such as sleep time, closely. She ensures that children benefit from nutritious snacks and meals at regular intervals throughout the day. Children enjoy frequent outdoor play in all weathers. They use balls with skill and enjoy exerting their energy.
p.3
Outcomes for children are outstanding
Children are thoroughly engrossed in their play experiences, are very enthusiastic and extremely keen to learn. Children talk with great knowledge about dinosaurs and compare them to the similarities of today's animals with ease, using books and play materials. When children play games, they take turns with their friends, talk using mathematical vocabulary, use numbers, count and can problem-solve confidently. Four-year-old children are starting to blend simple words together, such as 'mat'. Overall, children gain exceptional skills that prepare them well for their move to school.
