She places a high priority on identifying and minimising hazards in the environment so that children are safe as they play. The childminder seeks and responds to the views of parents and children, which helps her to meet their individual needs well. She is very knowledgeable and places a good focus on her professional development. She is currently completing a level 3 childcare qualification. They understand and follow safety rules as they play.

They are developing the physical control they need to use tools, such as pencils. They enjoy listening and talking about stories in books. Children become very independent. They recognise when they are hungry. They select and serve their own food. They initiate their own play and are confident to select and use the resources available.
