This provision is outstanding
The childminder has exceptionally high standards and expectations for the children. She monitors children's progress extremely closely to ensure that she plans activities which stimulate and encourage learning. All children make excellent progress from their starting points. The childminder provides a warm, welcoming and highly engaging environment. Children are motivated and excited to be involved in the activities planned. For example children enjoy selecting materials to make their dragon to celebrate Chinese New Year. The childminder skilfully shares guidance that she has gained from training, to enable parents to support their children at home, such as how to support children's communication and language more effectively. Children enjoy exciting opportunities that help them learn about diversity. For example, they celebrate cultural events and festivals, and observe and compare the similarities

and differences in people in the community. The childminder expertly supports children to learn about the world around them and to explore their surroundings. For example children enjoy trips to the zoo, aquarium and museums. They also take part in forest school activities and go for trips on the bus. Children are extremely polite and sociable. They are confident at sharing their views and opinions and learn to listen well to the views of others.

Inspection activities
The inspector observed the quality of teaching during activities and assessed the impact this has on children's learning. The inspector sampled a range of documentation. The inspector took into account the views of parents and carers spoken to on the day of the inspection. The inspector discussed and evaluated children's learning and development with the childminder. The inspector spoke to the childminder and children at appropriate times throughout the inspection.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is outstanding
Arrangements for safeguarding are effective. The childminder has an excellent up-to-date knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues that may indicate concerns about a child's welfare. She has rigorous procedures in place to ensure that children are kept safe and are never left unsupervised around people who are not suitable. The childminder has developed highly effective partnerships with parents and shares information regarding children's care. For example, parents have daily updates on their children's learning and routines and are made fully aware of the next steps planned for their children's learning. This very effectively helps them to support their children's learning at home. The childminder uses her skills extremely well to evaluate her provision. She uses parents' feedback to support her in targeting areas for improvement.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding
The childminder has an excellent understanding of how children learn and develop. She is a superb teacher. For example, she talks to children in ways which encourage them to think and speak to develop their communication and language skills. She makes excellent use of her precise assessments to target her teaching. She successfully plans activities that capture children's imagination and challenge them to learn. Children develop excellent physical skills and coordination. For example, young children take pride in their achievements as they master pouring water into a cup without spilling it. Older children eagerly tell the childminder what they are doing and ask when they need her help.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are outstanding
The children behave extremely well; they are caring and considerate towards each other. For example, older children pass toys to the younger children and talk about being quiet while the babies sleep. The childminder uses excellent methods to help children learn about healthy lifestyles. For example, they learn to wash their hands correctly while singing a song about germs. The childminder helps children to learn the importance of a balanced diet, including through discussing how food helps their bodies to grow and develop. Children learn how to manage risk appropriately. For example, they discuss being careful when using the knife to cut bread, also remembering to move the knife away afterwards so the younger children cannot reach it.
p.3
Outcomes for children are outstanding
Children are happy, settled and exceptionally keen to learn. They show high levels of independence and concentration in their chosen activities. For example, children use their excellent literacy skills to read names and compare sizes on the height chart. Even young children learn early mathematical skills, such as counting and subtracting. Children are extremely well prepared for the next stage in their learning and for starting school.
