recommendations from the last inspection.
p.1
It is not yet outstanding because:
Occasionally, the childminder does not give children enough time to think for themselves when responding to questions, so they learn to formulate their thoughts. Sometimes, the childminder misses opportunities to increase children's understanding of the importance of healthy diet as part of their healthy lifestyles.

What the setting needs to do to improve further
To further improve the quality of the early years provision the provider should:

Inspection activities
The inspector observed activities and the childminder's interaction with children throughout the inspection. The inspector sampled children's observation, planning and assessment documents, and looked at the registration records. The inspector checked evidence of the childminder's and her co-childminder's suitability to work with children, and sampled some of their policies and procedures. The inspector held conversations with both childminders and the children.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
The childminder understands the early years foundation stage well and ensures that she meets all requirements. Safeguarding is effective. The childminder knows her responsibility to protect children and understands how to report any concerns she has about a child in her care. She regularly updates her knowledge, such as on new regulations and legislations, and uses various training opportunities to develop her skills, to improve the learning and care she offers children. The childminder carefully monitors and assesses children's progress and keeps parents up to date. She works together with parents such as to address any areas of learning or development that children may need further support.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
The childminder has a good knowledge and understanding how children learn and develop. She provides an interesting range of activities and experiences that is appropriate for their ages and abilities. For example, during the inspection, young children thoroughly enjoyed listening to an interactive story, where they explored toys linked to the characters. The childminder skilfully encouraged children to act out the actions of the main characters of the story. Children are active learners who confidently explore and investigate. For example, they join in singing and dancing using various musical instruments.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
The childminder provides a calm, warm and welcoming environment. She has a consistent approach to managing children's behaviour. Children are self-assured. They regularly go outside to engage in physical exercise. For example, they enjoy riding tricycles and doing action songs. Children benefit from nutritious meals and snacks and follow good hygiene routines. They develop their independence skills very well. For example, young children learn to peel fruits at snack time and help with tidying up the toys. Children have many opportunities to learn about diversity in the wider community, for example, through a wide range of activities, resources and books.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
All children cooperate and play with confidence, and have good social and communication skills. They develop the necessary skills that they need in order to continue their learning at school. For example, children learn to count and improve their number recognition skills. They have various opportunities to develop their early writing skills and explore books. Overall, children thoroughly enjoy the activities on offer and are keen to take part.
