p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

 The childminder knows she must report any safeguarding concerns. However, she is not clear of who to report her concerns to, and she is not aware of all the signs that may indicate that children are at risk of harm. This is also a breach to the Compulsory part of the Childcare Register requirements.  The childminder is not aware of the need to review children's progress between the age of two and three years, and to provide parents with a short written summary of their child's development in the prime areas, as required.  The childminder does not maintain records about each child in her care, including their date of birth, the name and address of every parent, and emergency contact details, as required. This is also a breach to the requirements of the Childcare Register.  The childminder understands the need to monitor children's progress and knows how to plan activities to challenge children based on what they need to learn next.

p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

 The childminder understands how to work with parents to meet children's care needs, and support their confidence and emotional well-being as they learn and develop.

p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.

What the setting needs to do to improve further
