p.1

The provision meets requirements

 The childminder has addressed all areas raised at the last inspection. She has strengthened her self-assessment procedure and is currently taking into account the views of parents and children to further improve her practice.  Safeguarding arrangements are effective; the childminder demonstrates through discussion that she is aware of her duty to safeguard children. She has written procedures to follow and has recently updated her knowledge in this area.  The childminder understands the importance of working in partnership with parents and has a number of systems in place to exchange information with them about their child. Parents have recently commented 'it's good to see my child's development written down' and they 'like to see what my child is learning'.  The childminder demonstrates a sound knowledge and understanding of how to provide the children with interesting and challenging activities to support their learning.

p.1

The provision meets requirements

This is evident through discussion, from records maintained and from displays of children's artwork in the home.  A range of resources are available to meet the age and stage of development of individual children.  The childminder has systems in place to promote children's safety and welfare. For example, she ensures that daily checks are carried out to minimise any risk to children and her home is kept secure.

p.1

The provision meets requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.

p.1
