Summary of outcome
On 14 and 24 November 2016 we received information that raised concerns about safeguarding, supervision of children and accidents. We investigated this concern, to see whether the provider was meeting the early years foundation stage welfare requirements for child protection, staff qualifications, training support and skills, staff:child ratios and accident or injury.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We do not investigate to prove or disprove a complaint but use the information to check if the childcare provider is meeting all legal requirements. We carried out an unannounced visit to the setting and found that the provider was able to demonstrate that they have implemented effective procedures to ensure that children are well supervised and ratios are met. The safeguarding policies and procedures and accident recording procedures are also well understood by staff. The provider has also implemented positive changes to ensure that there are continuous improvements to staff practice.
p.1
Summary of outcome
However, although an allegation against a member of staff had been reported to the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) the provider admitted that they had failed to notify Ofsted of the allegation within 14 days or as soon as reasonably practical to do so.
p.1
Summary of outcome
This is an offence under EYFS Regulations 3.8 Child Protection. We issued the provider with an initial warning letter which she accepted. We may take this into account if she commits an offence again when making a decision on whether to prosecute.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The provider remains registered with Ofsted.
