This provision is outstanding
The quality of teaching is consistently high. The childminder has an excellent knowledge of the early years foundation stage and the highest expectations for children's learning goals. Older children are exceptionally well prepared for their eventual move to school. They develop an excellent understanding of mathematical concepts and display extremely good communication skills as they discuss their ideas. The childminder provides a very wide range of opportunities for parents to contribute to initial assessments of children's progress, and share their ongoing achievements. This means she has an accurate starting point to form plans for children to make extremely rapid progress from their first session. The childminder provides interesting and stimulating environments, both indoors and outdoors, with accessible resources which cover all areas of learning. Inspection activities
The inspector observed the quality of teaching during activities indoors and assessed the impact this has on children's learning. The inspector completed a joint observation with the childminder. The inspector looked at relevant documentation, such as learning profiles for children, the childminder's policies and evidence of the childminder's and both of her assistants' suitability to work with children. The inspector obtained written feedback from parents and took account of their views.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is outstanding
The childminder is committed to promoting exceptional levels of safety, learning and care for children. She has attended training to develop her skills, including a level 4 teaching qualification. This helps to promote children's literacy and numeracy skills in line with schools to complement their learning. The childminder supervises her assistants extremely well. She is now considering how to further evaluate the effectiveness of their training on children's learning. Safeguarding is effective. The childminder and her assistants are confident to follow child protection procedures. There are very robust risk assessments in place to help keep children safe. The childminder gathers an exceptionally wide range of feedback to help identify areas to improve her service. Parents describe the service as exceptional, beyond their expectations.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding
The childminder makes highly detailed observations of children's experiences which link to all areas of learning and their developmental stages. She uses this information to meticulously plan for their next steps and interests. Children thoroughly enjoy using creative resources to explore shapes and colour. The childminder consistently engages with children. She effectively uses questions which encourage them to be highly motivated and think critically. Children talk excitedly about their creations and make links to their previous learning. The childminder is extremely skilled in responding to children's chosen play while sharply focusing on their learning. For example, children seek her out to race their cars through tunnels. The childminder challenges them to guess which colour car might win and estimate which cars will fit through. This helps them to develop mathematical concepts in a fun and highly innovative way. The childminder carries out

meticulous in-depth assessments of children's progress and shares them with parents.

Personal development, behaviour and welfare are outstanding
The childminder helps children to develop the highest levels of self-esteem and confidence in their own ability. For example, children bring in achievements from home on 'proud clouds' which they celebrate together. Children understand what good behaviour means and thrive on the effective amount of support and praise they receive. Children have developed very secure bonds with the childminder and her assistants. They settle in quickly, which demonstrates they feel very safe. The childminder provides highly stimulating environments, indoors and outdoors. Children thoroughly enjoy caring for the range of pets and are proud of their responsibilities. The childminder encourages children to take an active part in preparing lunch. Children demonstrate an excellent understanding of how to be hygienic and the importance of making healthy choices.
p.3
Outcomes for children are outstanding
