The childminder has improved her practice since the last inspection and has addressed the previous actions and recommendations. For example, she has enhanced the quality of her interactions with children to support their language skills and her planning now takes account of children's next steps in their learning. Children form good emotional bonds with the childminder. They behave well and respond positively to the childminder's instructions. Children move around independently and safely. The childminder helps children to develop a strong awareness of how to stay safe. Children settle well. They are relaxed and emotionally secure in the childminder's home. They show increasing self-confidence and independence skills. Partnership working is successful. The childminder works closely with parents and others involved in supporting children. They all frequently share information to help them to provide consistent support for children's care and learning.
p.1
It is not yet outstanding because:
The childminder's professional development is not specifically focused on developing her good teaching skills as much as possible to further enhance children's learning experiences. The childminder does not make the most of opportunities for children to learn to value differences in other people and communities.

Inspection activities
The inspector observed activities in the childminder's home. The inspector spoke to the childminder and children at appropriate times during the inspection. The inspector looked at the children's records and a sample of other documentation, including policies and procedures. The inspector looked at how the childminder has been improving her practice. The inspector took account of the written feedback from parents and the childminder's self-evaluation.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
The arrangements for safeguarding are effective. The childminder is knowledgeable about child protection and current safeguarding legislation. She fully understands her responsibility to protect children and understands how to act appropriately if she has any concerns about a child's welfare. The childminder's home is safe and secure. The childminder provides information for parents about her role and their children's activities and achievements. The childminder recognises the importance of gaining new skills and updating existing ones to help her improve outcomes for children. For example, she has maintained a valid first-aid qualification and completed safeguarding training.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
The childminder observes and assesses children's learning. She finds out about their individual interests and developmental needs, in order to plan for their learning priorities. Children enjoy themselves while they are with the childminder. They are keen to participate in the enjoyable activities, and benefit from the childminder's focused involvement in their play. For example, she engages children in discussions as they play, introducing new vocabulary, without overdirecting them. The childminder helps young children develop good communication skills, for example, by repeating and reinforcing words with them. Children have access to good quality and age-appropriate books which help to support their increasing interest in books and stories.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
The childminder effectively supports children's physical and emotional well-being, valuing and celebrating their achievements. Children develop the confidence to mix with larger groups of children and adults. For example, the childminder takes them to local groups to socialise with others. The childminder supervises children well as they play, helping them to learn how to stay safe. For example, she gently reminds them about potential tripping hazards. Children show increasing levels of independence as they make choices and do things for themselves. Children learn the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. For example, they enjoy a wide range of opportunities outdoors and choose when they want to go out. They also enjoy healthy meals and snacks. The childminder teaches children good manners and the importance of sharing. Children play happily with their friends.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
Children gain the necessary skills to support their eventual move on to other settings and school. Children learn to listen and follow instructions well. They develop good social skills and learn to be independent, such as managing their own personal care needs. Children are confident and keen to learn. They demonstrate good physical skills and control of their bodies, such as when they walk, run, climb and balance when outdoors.
