    Summary of outcome

On 1 September 2016 we carried out an inspection which judged that the quality and standards of the early years provision were not met. There were no children on roll at the time of the inspection. Following the inspection we served a welfare requirements notice on the provider that required them to develop a secure understanding of the procedures to follow when dealing with complaints from parents. We also required the provider to implement systems for obtaining written parental permission for the administration of medicine to children. On 7 October 2016 we carried out a visit to monitor the welfare requirements notice. We found that the provider has updated her written procedures and now meets these requirements. The provider is making progress towards meeting other actions from the last inspection which relate to children's learning and development. We have asked the provider to improve knowledge of all the areas of learning in order to plan

appropriate learning experiences in order to help each child make effective progress. The provider must also develop a secure understanding of how to assess children's learning and development, including how to complete progress checks for children aged between two and three years and to share a written summary with parents. The provider must ensure that children have regular opportunities to take part in interesting and stimulating outdoor activities. She is also required to improve opportunities for children to explore and play with a wide range of media and materials and to express their own ideas. During the monitoring visit of 7 October 2016 we found the provider is making progress towards meeting the required actions by updating her knowledge and understanding of children's learning and development. The provider remains registered with Ofsted.

    Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

    Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years commencing on the date we complete our investigation.
