Staff skilfully support and encourage children to experiment with the equipment and solve problems as they pour water into various pipes.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are outstanding
Children develop a strong sense of emotional well-being. Highly effective transition and settling-in procedures help to ensure children settle very quickly and develop the confidence to explore and learn. Self-care and hygiene skills are actively promoted and older children talk about washing germs away when they wash their hands. Staff are excellent role models, good manners are routinely promoted and behaviour across the pre-school is exemplary. Children share, take turns and are very respectful of others. They independently access the breakfast bar, which offers a wide range of healthy food options. Outings into the local community provide children with superb opportunities to look at the wider world. Books for story time are skilfully and sensitively chosen to promote children's understanding of difference.
